On Friday 03/02/2023 at 09:20 CET, an automated monitoring process detected accumulated messages not being correctly consumed by our cloud OCPP service. In order to ensure timely delivery of messages, the monitoring process restarted the affected OCPP instances. This led our partners who were using the affected OCPP instances to experience that their chargers were disconnected as a group over a short period. The OCPP service restored the missing instances and was available for reconnection within a couple of minutes, but depending on reconnection speed of each partner’s systems, they could have experienced that their chargers were offline for up to 10–15 minutes. We are currently working on an improvement to our OCPP service to prevent partners from experiencing mass disconnections when the service instances are restarted.
